A far cry better than white words on a red background, that's for sure! Better news still, Jason has agreed to do similar covers for The Dragon's Contract and (TITLE WITH INHERENT SPOILERS), helping keep a unified theme across the trilogy!
The revised version (something I hope I say for the last time) of the ebook will be going out early tomorrow morning, so look for it in your inboxes!

I sometimes forget that not all of you follow me on Twitter... Whoops!
The new coverart is well under way, with artist Jason Rainville (of D&D and M:tG fame) stepping in for Sam! It was very nearly Gwendy (@Gwendybee) once again, but unfortunately her commissions are so booked up that it wouldn't have been until sometime next month - and for good reason, have you seen her art?

There is a poll going on Twitter to decide which art will be used, and last I checked I believe B) was in the lead. If you haven't voted yet, there are still a little over 30 hours before the vote is finalized and Jason locks in on the chosen color scheme. He's already messaged me about a few improvements he'd like to make to the winner, so the process shouldn't take long at all post vote!

Locking orders, final revisions!

Well, we are... *checks notes* almost two full months behind where I wanted us to be, but we're just about off to the races!
Orders are getting LOCKED tonight at midnight so we can start moving forward - fill out your backerkit surveys!
There really isn't a punishment for not getting them in on time, I'll be honest - it's not like you WON'T get your book, I'll just need to get that information before I can send it to you.
Speaking of which! A handful of dedicated readers have been helping root out even the smallest of style error, and it has been tremendously helpful. The book is improving steadily thanks to their collective eyes for detail, and as such they have earned themselves a special mention in the book itself.
It's honestly like having extra editors, it's fantastic - and something I wish I hadn't waited the cover art for, in all honesty and with the clarity of hindsight.
As soon as the eagle eyed folks make it to the end, we are going to motherlovin' PRINT! I dare say we'll make that November deadline yet (fingers crossed, knock on wood, etc, etc, etc!)

Some of you might have noticed YET ANOTHER update from Backerkit went out last night, and the reason for that is simple - the revised editions that went out last week weren't actually the right editions!
When Tablo created the snapshot of the book, they accidentally created it based on the state of the book from October 16th (a.k.a., before the revisions were committed). A super minor error, and it was easily fixed - the actual revised editions are the ones that were contained in that latest message from Backerkit!
