I came to the conclusion that since a lot of you don't necessarily need to read the entire update, having the title be a condensed way to dump out the 'need to know' info for the updates that are non crucial. I feel like it'll save some folks a bit of time, and it makes me feel less concerned about sometimes repetitive updates on certain topics.
Revised eBooks!
I've committed all the edits prompted by user-found errors. The most hilarious one is by far 'he shit his eyes shut', because honestly I don't even know if I could write something that funny on purpose.
The worst instance is another instance of a section repeating itself, which is needless to say a bad thing to miss, and I apologize. Without any spoilers, I'll say that it's a section related to the 'Dog Fight' excerpt that was shared around. As much of a head-scratcher as that particular error has been, my best guess as to how it happened is that there were revisions made to the excerpt, and that the revised excerpt was then improperly re-inserted into the main manuscript - all that to say, 'my bad'.
I can't promise not to make more errors, but I can promise to cut down on THIS SPECIFIC TYPE (transposition errors) in the future by writing The Dragon's Contract primarily on Tablo and exporting from there rather than writing primarily in multiple places (word processor, notepad, gdocs) and then compiling them all in Tablo.
ALL THAT TO SAY... The revised ebooks should be out to everyone via Backerkit within the next 24 hours, barring some crazy Australian holiday that I don't know about (Steve Irwin Day? Every Day Is Dangerous Day? National Drop Bear Awareness Day? I dunno, Australian stuff).
If you haven't started reading yet, I'd say wait for the revised copy, seeing as how its got about 80+/- revisions in it that will lead to a more immersive reading experience. If already have I appreciate you, and feel free to either continue reading as-is or wait for the revised copy.
Oh! I've mentioned the error in the title appearing on some versions of the ebook, so I'll have an answer for that soon too.
40 Backerkit Surveys to go!
We're up to about 80% on survey collection status! As I mentioned in a previous update, if we don't hit that 100% by this coming Friday (the 25th) I'm just going to go ahead and lock the orders, dealing with the stragglers as they come.
Amazon Listing!
The Graverobber's Sword has begun to flitter its way through distribution channels, and while it isn't appearing everywhere just yet, it can be found on Amazon! I've messaged Tablo about the kind of wonky formatting on the listing, as it's not something I can edit directly.
It would be TREMENDOUSLY AWESOMELY AMAZINGLY SUPERB OF YOU TO SHARE THIS LINK AROUND ON SOCIAL MEDIA. The bigger splash The Graverobber's Sword makes, the better my chances of being able to 'make it' as a writer (see: pay my bills) and maybe get an agent, which (aside from finishing and releasing The Dragon's Contract) is my main goal for 2020.
Revised ebook, survey reminders

I missed sending this out last night, but here's an update!
Readers have been *instrumental* in finding errors/revisions/typos so far, and the ebook has already had a massive amount of fixes - so many that it does, in fact, hurt my soul, but alas - 'twas necessary!
I'm going to be sending out a revised version of the ebook sometime on Sunday, as Tablo's offices are shut down for the weekend but North American Sunday is actually just Australian Monday, so we're good to go in that sense!
There are only about 50 people left who have yet to fill out their surveys, and once that happens the orders will be locked in. For the sake of timeliness, if there are any outstanding orders after next Friday I will just go ahead and lock the current orders in while reaching out to those persons directly.

I really hope you enjoy the story! I noticed (and caught) a weird error last night that had a section of the story repeating itself for some odd reason, and I have to assume it was an error that resulted from moving the book from the Gdoc to Tablo.
I went over the whole book again last night to make sure there weren't any other instances of that happening, and while I did a thorough enough job to sate my anxiety, it's still entirely possible that I've missed something.
The good news is, there is still time to fix any errors anyone might happen to spot before the books go to print, I'm just hoping there won't be any more.
I'll be writing the next book directly IN Tablo's word processor, because moving things back and forth across multiple versions of the same document is just not going to work for me, especially not when moving something from Gdoc to Tablo requires that the whole section be reformatted all over again.

A: Pretty stressed out, to be honest! Seeing that error really shook me, because I KNOW I fixed it weeks ago, but if it persisted the fix must have been done on an earlier version of the gdoc and then not ported over to Tablo? I don't know how it happened, and I'm worried there are other instances that I somehow missed and am till somehow missing. I'm comfortable enough to release it to you all, and I'm hopeful 200 pairs of fresh eyes can spot anything else that got missed before we go to print!

It is... 1:54 AM my time, making it technically the 16th. if I don't make another post later (which I should), this totally counts as having put out a daily update, I'm just sayin'.
I've been spending the last few hours talking with Tablo, and the ebooks will be out to you all soon. How soon?
Real soon, We're talking this week soon, before friday soon... soon soon, the for real kind of soon. Is the air feeling really thin for any one else all the sudden, or is it just me?
I have a sample of what kind of cover Tablo will be providing, and as expected it is pretty basic. Is it the absolute worst thing in the world? No, not at all. I don't hate it, but as I said to the publisher 'it makes me feel like it belongs on a shelf with the classics, not in a bargain bin somewhere near Sam Sykes'.
Thankfully the publisher shares (or at least appreciates) my sense of humor, and responded with 'hey, we all gotta start somewhere'.
Also, let's not forget that it's free, and will work well enough to let me get you all those motherflippin' EBOOKS at LONG FLIPPIN LAST.
(See? I don't have to use the 'fuck' word, I'm not Quentin Tarantino over here)
Once that's done, I'm going to start exploring my options for how to move forward with the cover.

THE DISCORD
The ebook is going to go out in both .mobi files and .epub files, and while the editor and I did our best to catch any typos, spelling mistakes, or any other instance of maeking goode wurds, human error is entirely possible - who among us hasn't found a typo in one of our books? I've made a Graverobber's Sword discord channel, and if you happen to find a mistake, holy cow please tell me about it over there and maybe I can catch it in time to fix it before it goes to print!
